  Information and help on all aspects of eating disorders including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder and related eating disorders. Includes details of the Association's UK-wide telephone helpline and other support groups.

• National Centre for Eating Disorders

  The National Centre For Eating Disorders, established in 1984, is an independent organisation set up to provide solutions for all eating problems, compulsive or "binge" eating, failed or "yo-yo" dieting, bulimia and anorexia. The National Centre now offers the only complete Training Course in Treatment skills for eating disorders in the UK, providing a unique self employment opportunity for people who wish to work full time or part time in this field.

• Eating Disorders Research Society

  The Eating Disorders Research Society is an international organization of researchers in the field of eating disorders interested in anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge-eating disorder and obesity. The purpose of the organization is to hold an annual scientific meeting during which the most recent research in the field can be presented and discussed.

• The Obesity Awareness and Solutions Trust

  The Obesity Awareness and Solutions Trust is the first charity in the country to set up action groups, to inform, educate and listen, to research and to work with interested parties to raise the profile of a set of problems called obesity. It is a responsible organisation, which seeks to promote good contacts in industry, academic and patient groups and provide an effective means of dialogue with policy makers and regulators.

• National Eating Disorders Association

  National Eating Disorders Association came into being in 2001, when Eating Disorders Awareness & Prevention joined forces with the American Anorexia Bulimia Association to create the largest eating disorders prevention and advocacy organization in the world. Provides information and advice on all eating disorders and also gives details of their telephone helpline and annual conference. Suitable for both sufferers, their friends and families and professionals.

• National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders

  Founded in 1976, the National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders is the oldest national non-profit organization helping eating disorder victims and their families. In addition to its free hotline counseling, the National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders operates an international network of support groups for sufferers and families, and offers referrals to health care professionals, who treat eating disorders, across the USA and in fifteen other countries.

• The Obesity Society

  The Obesity Society is the leading scientific society dedicated to the study of obesity. Since 1982, The Obesity Society has been committed to encouraging research on the causes and treatment of obesity, and to keeping the medical community and public informed of new advances.

• Academy for Eating Disorders

  The Academy for Eating Disorders is a multidisciplinary professional organization focusing on Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder and related disorders. Founded in September of 1993, they believe that effective treatment for eating disorder patients requires professionals from various disciplines working together. Details of the Academy's conferences and workshops are given.

• Eating Disorders Coalition for Research, Policy and Action

  A coalition dedicated to raising awareness among policy makers and the public at large about the serious health risk posed by eating disorders, promoting federal support for improved access to care, increasing resources for research, education, prevention, and improved training, increasing funding and support for scientific research on the causes, prevention, and treatment of eating disorders, promoting initiatives that support the healthy development of children, and mobilizing concerned citizens to advocate on behalf of people with eating disorders, their families, and professionals working with these populations.
